What you're actually getting when a Rifleman's Path/JCC Precision chambers your barrel.
Our machinists came up as a journeyman in a field where .001 wasn't a goal; they were the tolerance you held to keep your job—years of high-precision work where parts either measured right or got scrapped. That discipline is what now goes into every barrel that leaves the shop.
Each barrel gets dialed in co-axially—indicated off the bore at both the throat and a point down the tube—so the reamer follows the centerline of the actual hole, not the OD. We hold runout to within .0002″ before a single flute touches steel.
You know what that buys you: a chamber that's concentric to the bore, minimal case stretch, consistent headspace, and brass that doesn't walk. No chasing a crooked chamber with neck tension or load development later.
And the work shows up where it counts. This year alone, two of our rifles have won NRL matches and placed inside the top 10 at PRS matches—results on the clock, against the field, not just numbers on an inspection report.
That's the pitch: tradesman-grade machine work, proven on the line.
We don't do pre-fit barrels, and that's a deliberate choice. Chambering to your specific action lets us set headspace exactly and cut the chamber to the rifle it's actually going to live in, not to a nominal spec that's "close enough." It's one more variable we control instead of leaving to chance—and it's part of how we build barrels that shoot consistent, round after round.
A quick note on guarantees.
We stand behind our craftsmanship, fully. The machine work that leaves our shop is held to a standard we'll back every time.
What we can't guarantee is how a rifle shoots when it's built around parts we didn't supply—your action, components, ammo, and the rest all play a role in accuracy, and those are outside our hands. So if an accuracy question comes up, the first step is checking in with the makers of the supplied parts. Once that's sorted, we're always happy to take a look and make sure our end is dialed.
