A barrel works hard. It sees heat, weather, solvents, and the kind of handling that wears finishes thin over time. Cerakote is how we protect it—a ceramic-based coating that bonds to the steel and stands up to all of it.
We treat coating like every other job that comes through the shop: done right, start to finish. Each barrel is fully degreased and media-blasted to give the coating a clean surface to grip, then coated by hand in even, controlled passes. From there it's oven-cured, which is what turns Cerakote from a paint into a finish—hardening it into a durable, bonded layer that resists rust, abrasion, chemicals, and the heat a barrel actually generates.
The result is a finish that does its job for the life of the rifle. It holds up to repeated cleanings, shrugs off moisture and corrosion, and keeps looking sharp long after a lesser coating would start to wear or flake. And because it's applied thin and even, it protects without adding bulk or interfering with fit.
