Andy is a distinguished figure in the Precision Rifle Series (PRS), celebrated for his exceptional marksmanship, military background, and commitment to advancing the shooting community.

Early Life &

Military Service

Raised in rural Virginia, Andy's passion for shooting began in his youth, hunting squirrels with a .22 rifle. At 23, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps shortly after the events of 9/11. During his service, Andy's proficiency with firearms earned him recognition, leading to roles as a marksmanship coach and instructor. His dedication culminated in his participation with the Marine Corps Reserve Shooting Team, where he achieved notable successes, including a victory at the 2019 Mammoth Sniper Challenge.

Competative Shooting Career

Andy embarked on his PRS journey in 2017, quickly establishing himself as a formidable competitor. Over eight years, he has participated in 95 PRS matches, with 62 in the Pro Series. His accolades include:

 

 - Champion of the 2023 Armageddon Gear Cup, securing a $30,000 prize.
 - First-place finishes at the 2024 Hornady Precision Rifle Challenge and the 2024 W.A.R. Rifles Shootout.
 - Second place in the 2023 PRS Pro Series Finale, ranking third overall for the season. MDT USA


As a member of Team MDT since 2021, Andy utilizes a custom-built rifle featuring a Lone Peak Arms Fuzion action, MDT ACC Elite chassis, and a 26” Geissele barrel. His ammunition setup includes Berger 153.5 gr. Long Range Hybrid Target bullets, Hodgdon H4350 powder, and Peterson brass.

PRS Rimfire Achievements

In addition to his centerfire accomplishments, Andy has made significant strides in PRS Rimfire competitions:

 

 - Champion of the 2023 PRS Rimfire National Finale.
 - Winner of the 2023 PRS Atlantic Coast Rimfire Finale.
 - Multiple first-place finishes in regional rimfire matches, including the 2023 Cavalier Christmas PRS Rimfire and the 2024 Tarheel 3 Gun Rimfire Series #2.

Team Match Successes

Andy has also demonstrated exceptional skill in team-based competitions:

 

 - Winner of the 2019 Mammoth Sniper Challenge alongside teammate Steve Thompson.

Coaching & Community Involvement

Beyond competition, Andy is dedicated to mentoring aspiring shooters. He founded Rifleman’s Path, a training organization and PRS club based in Gretna, Virginia, offering marksmanship instruction and hosting regional matches. His commitment to education and community development has made him a respected figure in the shooting sports arena.
